Guest Book

Josh

Hi, my name is Josh and I'm a DePaul 1L. I read your book in place of my first Contracts reading. Not the smartest way to start of the school year but it certainly was fun. Great piece, I would definitely read more of your work.

Jonathan Lauter

Wow, that's all I can say. Just read the articles on your website and I am quite impressed. Can't wait to read your book.

Harriet Rosen

Jamie forwarded this to me. She thought it was extremely funny. Fred is also an attorney so I can relate. I remember watching you do magic tricks as a child.
Best of luck whatever way you go with this.

The Big Cow

I saw your latest trolling on LSD and it reminded me of your site - I believe I visited it once before I started law school (or very soon after I first started), and it made me just a little bit less scared. I figured if you had so much time to blog, well, maybe 1L wouldn't be as horrible as "One L" made it out to be. I just finished my first year of law school - also in Chicago, coincidentally. I think I'd like to read your book. I'll have to see if they have it at the library.

Mr. Lax,

You informed me during graduation that you inserted some comments I had made into your book. I am expecting royalties, of course. Otherwise I will have to find one of our fellow graduates to sue you for plagiarism, possible defamation, and Negligent Infliction of Emotional Distress (or possible even Intentional Infliction, if you knew what you were doing at the time)... no joke.

Not everyone that goes through law school has to become a lawyer either, I personally sell novelties for a living and love it!

I'm impressed...the last time I saw you I was making you some sort of latte or something along those lines. I guess all that time you spent at Barnes and Noble you were actually doing some work. Can't wait to read your book. Hats off to you...Congratulations on all you've accomplished and everything else that I'm sure is still to come!

Hi Rick. It was obvious a couple summers ago that you had already learned the greatest lesson any quality attorney can: don't take yourself too seriously. Congrats on the book and best wishes for your continued success.

Steve Bernstein

Congratulations on receiving a cease and desist letter. It is comforting to know that someone thinks your work is important enough to warrant one.

No, no, that was just an April Fool's Day joke....a bad one, according to most people...

Ricky-
I look forward to reading your book. I wish I had known all this about you when you were a student of mine here at the law school. I could have made your life truly miserable. Another lost opportunity. LLC

Could have? Could have? Kidding. Enjoyed your class. We'll see how much of it I remember if I ever find myself in court...
Lauren

Your brilliance is in your seemingly unconscious ability to be YOU without any outside influence and with an openness that allows others to bask in something truly unique. The basking is new, very warranted, and will only increase with time. Sun burns for all!

Thanks Lauren, but let's try to keep my ego in check.... Hope all is well.

Thanks Mike. Credit is due to my mom, of course.
